Gond painting is a traditional art form of the Gond tribal community in Central India, that is primarily known for its bright and bold narratives. The crow now took the earth out of it and delivered it to Mahadev. From it Mahadev made a man's figure, gave him life and an axe into his hand. He was called Baiga. After he left for the forest, he never came back. Seeing this, Mahadev took some of the remaining soil and made an effigy like this and breathed life into it and gave it a plough in its hand. He began to till the ground with the plough. He was called Gond. It is a landmark folklore of the Gond community and narrates the story of the origin of earth and living beings from water and their abundance.
